John Sherman Stanley 
John Sherman was born on January 26th, 1867 in Knox County, IL.1 John Sherman's father was James Madison Stanley and his mother was Tacy Stroud Morgan. His paternal grandparents were John Orsemus Stanley and Dolly Flansburg. He had three sisters named Amy Blanche, Anna May and Tacy Maud. He was the oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 63 on September 14th, 1930.1 General Notes
