Helen Melinda Stanley 
Helen Melinda was born on April 12th, 1867 in Galesburg, Knox, IL.1 Helen Melinda's father was John Wesley Stanley and her mother was Mary Jane Cadwell. Her paternal grandparents were John Orsemus Stanley and Dolly Flansburg; her maternal grandparents were John P. Cadwell and Mary Emily Porter. She had four brothers and five sisters, named James Madison, George Clinton, William Orsemus, John O., Clara May, Mary Ann, May Florine, Carrie Emojean and Jennie Maria. She was the fifth oldest of the ten children. She died due to Chronic myocarditis, senility at the age of 85 on April 15th, 1952 in Butler, Bates, MO. She was buried on April 18th, 1952 in Hiatville, Bourbon, KS.1 1 General Notes

HELEN MELINDA BOYD DIES.
Helen Melinda Boyd, 85, passed away early Tuesday morning at the home of her son, Edward A. Boyd, who resides at 309 N. Lyons in Butler.
She is survived by the following daughters, Mrs. Mable Maycumber, Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Eva Long, Hiatville, Kas., and Edna Toe, Pawnee, Kas., the following sons, Harry T. Boyd, Lubbock, Tex., Frank O. Boyd, Salinas, Calif., an Edward A. Boyd, Butler, two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Brooks of Pamona, Kas., Mae Rice, Los Angeles, Calif.
She was a resident of Butler since 1928.
Funeral services will be announced later, awaiting the arrival of her children. Burial will be made at Hiattville, Kas., beside her husband, Phillip W. Boyd, who preceded her in death thirty-five years ago.
