Ruth was born in 1644.1   Ruth's father was Nicholas Snow and her mother was Constance Hopkins.  Her paternal grandparents were Nicholas Snow and Elizabeth Rowles; her maternal grandfather was Stephen Hopkins. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Mark, Stephen, John, Jabez, Joseph, Mary, Elizabeth and Sarah.1
