Jacob C. Sitter 
Jacob C. was born on March 30th, 1854 in Haldimand County, Ontario, Canada. Jacob C.'s father was Jacob Setter and his mother was Catharine Klein. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Jacob, Nikolaus, Peter, Valentine, Catherine and Carolyn. He died at the age of 83 on August 16th, 1937 in Melvin, Sanilac County, Michigan.General Notes
Known as Jake or Red Jake
Jake and Anne immigrated in Michigan in 1887, residing in Valley Center for one year and then moving to a farm 1/2 mile south of Milvin. They lived there 30 years, until the death of Anne. They had eight children, four living.
Jake changed his name from Setter to Sitter becuase of a disagreement with one of his brothers. Buried in Melvin Cemetary, Died of Gengrine of the foot, senile 83 years 4 months 17 days. He was a farmer.
