Samuel was born on May 21st, 1726 in Saybrook, Conneticutt.1   Samuel's father was John Shipman and his mother was Martha Humphrey.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 75 on September 4th, 1801 in Saybrook, Conneticutt.1
