given permission in 1652, by town of Windsor, to keep house together in the
house that is Isaac's, with Samuel Rockwell. (Isaac in Windsor 1651); Sheldon
had then recently bought the 1st Peter Titlton house. Samuel Rockwell was the
son of Wm., whose mother had m.2) Matthew Grant, and his eldest bro. John was
m. & res. at the homestead. In 1654, John Osborne bought the 1st Peter Tilton
place and Sheldon rejm. to Northampton.
A Hist of Deerfield, MA by Sheldon vol3..Isaac Sheldon of Dorchester 1634;
rem. with a part of congregation of Rev. John Warham in Sep. 1635 to found
plantation at Windham. CT. He owned there 10 Jan 1640 a home lot of 3 acres.
p.292: Rem. to Northampton 1654, original settler; in 1660 he was assigned a
home lot on Bridge Street. He was Sellectman 1656 and a leading man in town
affairs. d.29 Jul 1708; m.1653 Mary Woodford.
