On June 4, 1682, John bought 250 acres of land from Wuilliam Penn for the sum of 5£, along Neshaminy Creek, near Langhorne, Middleton Twp., Bucks County, PA. In 1682 he arrived in America with his son, John. He returned to London to bring Sarah to America, but she was afraid to cross the ocean and refused to come. Quakers were no longer persecuted as badly as they had been, so he stayed. His will was made in 1696 and witnessed by William Penn.
