Lona's father was Henry Saturday and her mother was Zada Blalock. Her paternal grandparents were G.W. "Wash" Saturday and Sarah Ann Holland. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Robert Lee, Ed, Tom, Rance, Sid, Belle, Ella, Nora and Vesta.-
