Rhuey Ann was born about 1802 in Kent, MD.1   Rhuey Ann's father was Jacob Sapp and her mother was Jacob Sapp.  Her paternal grandfather was Henry Sapp. She had four brothers and a sister, named Michael, Moses, Isaac, Daniel and Rachel.  She was the third oldest of the six children.1
