Martha was born on June 20th, 1821 in Kent, MD.1 Martha's father was George Sapp and her mother was Catherine Arnold. Her paternal grandparents were George Sapp and Christina Textor. She had two brothers and seven sisters, named Levi, Jonathan, Margaret, Elizabeth, Delilah, Rachel, Ann, Lydia and Fanny. She was the youngest of the ten children.1 -
