Anthony was born about 1480.1   Anthony's father was Ralph Saint Leger and his mother was Elizabeth Hawte.  His paternal grandparents were Ralph Saint Leger and Anne Prophett; his maternal grandparents were Richard Hawte and Elizabeth Tyrell.  He was an only child.1
