Birdie Wilson was born on August 17th, 1886 in Tattnall County, GA.1   Birdie Wilson's father was James Harris Rustin and her mother was Joanna Lavenia Norman. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Joseph Felton, Enoch Bernice, Frank Harris, Robert Gilliam, Lannie Lamar, Eva Debbie and Willie Eunice.  She died at the age of 59 on November 21st, 1945 in Reidsville GA.1
