Living's father was Living Russell and his mother was Living Campbell.  His paternal grandparents were Louis Dean Russell and Lula Mae Russell; his maternal grandparents were Harold Edward Campbell and Flossie Mildred Campbell. He had two brothers and a sister, named Living, Living and Living.
