Ethel Mae was born on November 28th, 1885 in Barkhamsted, CT.1 Ethel Mae's father was Albert J. Root and her mother was Augusta Ann Franklin. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph A. Root and Abigail Phelps; her maternal grandfather was John Franklin. She had a brother and two sisters, named Albert E., Minnie E. and Gladys. She died due to Acute myocardial infarction at the age of 82 on June 15th, 1968 in Hartford, CT (Hartford Hospital).1 General Notes
