Thorer was born about 0868 in Of, Maer, Norway.1 Thorer's father was Rognvald "The More" and his mother was Hilda Ragnhild. His paternal grandparents were Eystein (Glumra) Ivarsson and Aseda Rognvaldsson; his maternal grandfather was Hrolf Nefia. He had five brothers and a sister, named Hallad, Einar, Hrollager (Hrollaug), Ivar, Robert and Thordis. He was the second youngest of the seven children.1 -
