Peggy was born about 1815 in Buncombe, North Carolina.1 Peggy's father was John Rogers and her mother was Mary Jones. Her paternal grandparents were Robert Rogers and Frances Russell. She had two sisters named Francis [Frankie] and Mary Polly. She was the youngest of the three children.1 -
