James was born on June 15th, 1789.1   James' father was James Rochelle and his mother was Margaret Evans. He had three brothers and six sisters, named Anderson, George Evans, John, Helen, Margaret Evans Larkin, Arabella, Charlotte Lavaune, Cynthia and Tabitha Dorcas.1
