Susanna Rising 
Susanna was born on June 25th, 1770 in Suffield, Hartford Co., CT.1 Susanna's father was Benjamin Rising and her mother was Lydia Hooker. Her paternal grandparents were James Rising and Elizabeth Marshall; her maternal grandparents were John Hooker and Mary Killium. She had six brothers and four sisters, named Benjamin, Raynor, Abraham, John Hooker, Alexander, Heman, Lydia, Sarah, Mary and Susannah. She was the youngest of the eleven children. She died about 1860 in Christianburg, VA.1 General Notes

We are at this time (3/11/94) uncertain where Susanna Rising Clark died and where she is buried. Her husband, Reuben, died in Westhampton in 1826. Part of the estate went to Susanna so she was apparently still alive at that time. The real estate was sold so we don't know if she stayed in Westhampton, moved to Northampton or possibly moved back to Connecticut to live with relatives. LDS film 0186159 gives a date of April 6, 1839 for the death of Mrs. Susanna Clark (80). Susanna Rising was born in 1770 according to the Ct. records, so would have been 69 in 1839.
