John Remy

John was born about 1712 in Westmoreland, Virginia.¹ John's father was William Remy and his mother was Catherine Asbury. His paternal grandparents were Jacob [Jacques] Remy and Mary Spencer; his maternal grandparents were Henry Asbury and Mary Durrant. He had five brothers and four sisters, named William, Jacob, Asbury, James, Daniel, Catherine, Mary, Elizabeth and Katherine. He was the third youngest of the ten children. He died in 1791 in Henry, Virginia.¹
