Andrew was born on June 10th, 1823 in Scott, Tennessee.1   Andrew's father was Isaac Reed and his mother was Phariba [Rachel] Hatfield.  His paternal grandparents were John Reed and Nancy Morris. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named Campbell County, Sampson, Isaac, John, Phariba, Sarah, Delilah, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Melinda Emily and Eliza Jane. He had two half-brothers named Julian and Harrison.  He died at the age of 81 on September 5th, 1904.1
