William Stanton Randolph

William Stanton was born on February 15th, 1861 in Mercer Co., Ill.¹ William Stanton's father was John Randolph and his mother was Anna Carpenter Morse. His maternal grandparents were Horace Morse and Lydia Stanton. He had five brothers and three sisters, named George Washington, John Edward, Lowell Ellis, Eddie Gilbert, Austin Edgar, Martha Gennette, Ida Malvina and Emma Estella. He was the oldest of the nine children.¹
