Miriam was born on July 3rd, 1907 in Effingham Co., GA.1   Miriam's father was George Quantock Rahn and her mother was Cora Ashton Exley. She had six brothers and a sister, named Merrill Lamar, Artis Derry, Corley Shaw, Edwin Kenneth, George Leroy, Harris Barnard and Gracie Ashton.  She died at the age of 1 on September 18th, 1908.1
