Joan was born about 1468 in Kings Walden, Hertfordshire, England.1 Joan's father was Thomas Prudden and her mother was Alice Unknown. Her paternal grandparents were John Prudden and Elizabeth. She had two brothers and a sister, named William, Thomas and Katheryn. She was the youngest of the four children.1 -
