John Perkins 
John was born in 1587 in NEWENT, ENGLAND and his baptism took place on December 23rd, 1583 in Hillmorton, Warwickshire, England.1 John's father was Henry Perkins and his mother was Elizabeth Sawbridge. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Perkins and Alice Kebble. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, Edward, Francis, William, James, Marget, Anne, Sarah, Ivey and Elizabeth. He was the youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 67 on September 26th, 1654 in Ipswich, Essex, Massachusetts.1 General Notes

He was a freeman in 1631; went with John Winthrop the younger, to Ipswich, Mass in 1633, was a representative to the General Court in 1636, was a sgt in the war with Tarratines in 1631.
