William was born about 1476 in Alnwick, Northumberland, England.1   William's father was Henry Earl Of Percy and his mother was Maud Herbert. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Allan, Josceline, Arundel, Henry Algernon, Eleanor, Ann and Elizabeth.1
