William was born in 1647.1   William's father was John Peckham and his mother was Mary Clarke.  His paternal grandparents were Henry Peckham and Elizabeth Badger. He had two brothers named John and Thomas. He had three half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Clement, James, Stephen, Deborah, Elizabeth, Phebe, Rebecca, Sarah and Susannah.1
