Daniel Otis

Daniel was born in 1788 in Scituate.¹ Daniel's father was Ephraim Otis and his mother was Sarah Harris. His paternal grandparents were Ephraim Otis and Rachel Hersey. He had eight brothers and two sisters, named Ephraim, Ephraim, David Harris, Job, George Alexander, Job, Daniel, Stephen, Polly and Amy. He was the youngest of the eleven children.¹
