Stephen Gordon was born in 1822.1   Stephen Gordon's father was John Nash and his mother was Abigail Ladd Gordon.  His paternal grandparents were Moses Nash and Salome Lewis. He had a brother and a sister, named Levi and Eliza Lewis.  He was the oldest of the three children.1
