Salla was born in 1796.1   Salla's father was Moses Nash and her mother was Sarah Little.  Her paternal grandparents were John Nash and Martha Graves. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Asa, Moses, William Augustus, Hulda, Pamelia, Juliana and Samantha.  She was the fourth oldest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 7 in 1803.1
