Henry Clay was born in 1844.1   Henry Clay's father was Jonathon Warner Nash and his mother was Surloma Hill Thayer.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Nash and Naomi Warner. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Arthur W., Sumner L., Edward E., Marian A., Maria Loisa, Ann Jane and Emily C..  He was the youngest of the eight children.1
