Elise Margarethe was born on October 13th, 1821 in Alten-Buseck, Darmstadt-Hesse, Germany.1 Elise Margarethe's father was Wilhelm Muller and her mother was Anna Margaretha Muller. Her paternal grandparents were Heinrich Muller and Anna Katharina Lepper; her maternal grandparents were Georg Eberhard Muller and Elisabetha Margaretha Wagenbach. She had three brothers and a sister, named Johann Heinrich, Johannes, Georg Wilhelm and Justina Katharina. She was the second youngest of the five children.1 -
