Abraham Mitchell 
Abraham was born on June 11th, 1876 in ARDRIM, BALLINAMORE, CO LEITRIM, IRELAND.1 Abraham's father was John Mitchell and his mother was Eliza Dobson. His paternal grandfather was James Mitchell; his maternal grandparents were George Dobson and Mary Thompson. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Frank, John James, Edward, George, William, Elizabeth and Mary. He died in HIGH WYCOMBE, ENGLAND.1 General Notes

Abraham Mitchell (1876- ? ) was born in Killaneen, 8 1/2 miles from Mohill, near Ballinamore, County Leitrim, Ireland. Married in 1917 Isabella McMaster of County Sligo. They had five children, all born in Kilaneen.
Abraham was a farmer, and operated the farm from the time he acquired it from his father. He had a reputation among the people who lived nearby of being very fair, very strong, and very willing to help any of them when they needed help. He was not very large, but he was athletic. It has been said that in his youth he could carry two cwt. (hundred pound) sacks at one time. He was a local boxer of note. In later life, he lost most of his vision, and while he lived in relatively good health otherwise, he sorely missed being able to read.
All reports indicate that he was a good husband and father for his family, and that he enjoyed life most of the time.
