John Sampson Martin

John Sampson was born in 1840 in Belair, Richmond Co., GA.¹   John Sampson's father was James Hamilton Martin and his mother was Caroline B. Nichols. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Thomas R., Charles Edwin, William Henry, Anna Elizabeth, Angeline and Ella Sis.  He was the second oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 53 in 1893 in Belair, Richmond Co., GA.¹
