Godfrey was born about 1108 in of, Louvain, Brabant, France.1   Godfrey's father was Godfrey I Of Louvaine.  His paternal grandparents were Henry Lorraine and Adelaide Of Orlamunda. He had a brother and a sister, named Joscelin and Adeliza.  He was the oldest of the three children.  He died in 1142.1
