Henry Buist Lee

Henry Buist was born on November 15th, 1840 in CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA.¹ Henry Buist's father was Stephen Lee and his mother was Caroline Lee. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Lee and Kezia Miles; his maternal grandparents were William Lee and Eliza Markley. He had eight brothers and seven sisters, named John Miles, William Franklin, Charles Cochrane, Thomas, Stephen, Benjamin Markley, Joseph T, James Hardy, Julia Eliza, Kezia Harriet, Emily Kezia, Caroline, Elizabeth Susan, Mary Adeline and Caroline. He was the seventh youngest of the sixteen children.¹
