Lydia was born in 1722 in Southold, L.I..1 Lydia's father was James Landon and her mother was Mary Vaill. Her paternal grandparents were Nathan Landon and Hannah Sandford; her maternal grandfather was John Vaill. She had six brothers and three sisters, named John, David, Daniel, James, Joseph, Nathan, May, Rachel and Ann.1 -
