William was born on April 8th, 1799 in PA.1   William's father was John Lamb. He had two brothers and four sisters, named John, David, Sarah, Polly, Nancy and Elizabeth.  He was the second oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 57 on August 20th, 1856 in Strattanville, Clarion Co., PA.1
