William Knowlton 
William was born on September 11th, 1786 in Mayson.1 William's father was Henry Knowlton and his mother was Sybil Unknown. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Knowlton and Pheobe Unknown. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Henry J., Charles, Timothy, John, Sybil, Ruth and Eunice. He was the fourth youngest of the eight children.
