David was born in April 1753 in Palmer, Mass.1   David's father was John King and his mother was Sarah Allen. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named John, Joseph, Thomas, Benjamin, Aaron, Moses, Jonathon, William, Sarah, Hannah and Mary.1
