Elizabeth Kerney and John Thomas Clark were married either September or August 18, 1856 in the Israelite Santuary in Fitzroy, Australia. The church was called the Christian Israelite Church and later considered by many a cult. They were also married in the Episcopal Church of England for a civil ceremony.
Elizabeth had not married previously. She was a dressmaker.
