Henry was born on January 28th, 1788 in Hopkinton, RI.1   Henry's father was Clark Henry Joslin and his mother was Mary Tift.  His paternal grandfather was Henry Joslin. He had a brother and two sisters, named Dutee, Betsy and Patty.  He died at the age of 39 on December 2nd, 1827 in North Collins, NY.1
