Benjamin was born in 1657.1   Benjamin's father was Humphrey Johnson and his mother was Elinor Cheney.  His paternal grandparents were John Johnson and Margery Heath. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Nathaniel, Joseph, Isaac, John, Mehitable, Martha, Margaret, Deborah, Mary and Deborah. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named John, John and Deborah.1
