1   John's father was James Job and his mother was Anne Crosby.  His paternal grandparents were John Job and Elizabeth Unknown; his maternal grandparents were Hance Crosby and Anne McDill. He had three brothers and seven sisters, named Jonathan, James, Moses, Anne, Elizabeth, Jane, Margaret, Mary, Nancy and Sarah.1
