His paternal grandparents were Wilson Jenkins and Anna (Ann) Moore. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named William Wilson, John Dawson, Wyatt Frank, Thomas C., Elias J., Horace M., Robert V., Elizabeth Ann, Sarah J., Rotillah and Minnie Alice. He was the second youngest of the twelve children.1 -
