John was born on August 14th, 1696 in Amesbury, Essex, MA.1   John's father was John Jameson and his mother was Esther Martin.  His paternal grandparents were James Jameson and Sarah Unknown; his maternal grandparents were George Martin and Susanna North. He had six sisters named Mary, Esther, Elizabeth, Susanna, Jeane Jane and Hannah.1
