Infant was born in 1843.¹ Infant's father was Artemus Moody Nash and her mother was Sarah Richardson. Her paternal grandparents were Albin Nash and Anna Moody. She had a brother and a sister, named Infant and Sarah Jane. She was the oldest of the three children.¹
