Jabesh was born on October 19th, 1696.1   Jabesh's father was Richard Bowen and his mother was Mercy Titus.  His paternal grandfather was Richard Bowen. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Abijah, Thomas, Ebenezer, Elizabeth, Damaris Bowen and Urania.  He was the third youngest of the seven children.1
