Mary Ann was born on August 15th, 1870 in Sussex, Kings, New Brunswick, Canada.1   Mary Ann's father was Samuel Hueston and her mother was Margaret Jane McManus.  Her paternal grandfather was William B. Hueston. She had four brothers and three sisters, named James, Samuel, Thomas, William, Elizabeth Frances, Bessie and Nancy.1
