Martha Hoyt, was born October 11, 1835 in New Haven, Vermont, and passed away October 27th, 1919, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Eva Baker of Bancroft, aged 84 years and 16 days.
At the age of 21 years she was united in marriage to Mr. M. Bradley Martin. To this union were born three children, Nettie who passed away at the age of 7 years, Mrs. Eve Baker of Bancroft, and Edward of Royal Oak, Mich., besides the above named children, she leaves to mourn her loss, 2 step sons. John of Bancroft, and George of Frankfort Ind., to whom she was a good mother, also two grandsons and 1 grandaughter and 2 great-grandaughters.
Hers has been a good life and departing she has left behind many examples worthy of imitation.
Mrs. Martin was a Charter member of the Bancroft Congregational Church and was always a faithful member. The funeral was held at the home on Friday, October 31, 1919, the Rev. Mr. Powley of Flint officiating. Burial at Fremont Cemetary.
