Simon was born in 1600 in Essex, England and his baptism took place on November 19th, 1604 in London, London, England.1   Simon's father was Henry Howland and his mother was Alice Aires. He had six brothers and two sisters, named John, Humphrey, George, Henry, Arthur, William, Margaret and Hannah.  He was the fifth oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 34 in 1634 in London, England.1
